This recipe was first published in David A. Embury's The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks in 1948.

Ingredients

• 2 oz gin
• 3/4 oz lemon juice
• 3/4 oz orgeat
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• Garnish: lemon twist, optional

Instructions

• Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice
• Shake until chilled
• Strain into a coupe glass
• Garnish with lemon twist, if desired
