For a little history about this drink...

Ingredients

• 3/4 oz rye whiskey
• 3/4 oz cognac
• 3/4 oz sweet vermouth
• 2 barspoons Bénédictine
• 4 dashes Dale DeGroff's Pimento Bitters
• Garnish: cherry or lemon twist

Instructions

• Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice
• Stir until chilled
• Strain into a chilled Old Fashioned glass with a large ice cube
• Garnish with a cherry, expressed lemon twist, or both
